The MIC

Video file

The MIC was founded on a clear and ambitious vision: to transform this former research and development site into a thriving hub for innovation.

It provides startups and SMEs alike with a unique environment in which to grow, collaborate, and innovate. Drawing on its scientific heritage, the MIC has retained a strong culture of research and innovation. Today, it is one of Switzerland’s largest campuses dedicated to innovation and business development.

200

Founded in 2014, the MIC is currently home to more than 200 companies, representing over 1,000 jobs.

This dynamic ecosystem also includes a sustainable neighbourhood certified under the SEED standard, a range of retail outlets, and numerous services. In addition, a regional swimming pool and a brand-new four-star hotel reflect our commitment to combining wellbeing, comfort, and entrepreneurship.

Our Vision

Establishing your business at the MIC means becoming part of a dynamic ecosystem designed to strengthen your professional network. Take part in the "MIC Business Leaders’ Coffee", a networking event that brings together managers and decision-makers, fostering meaningful connections, collaboration opportunities, and business synergies.

Energy

Founded through a partnership between Groupe E, the Municipality of Marly, and the MIC, Gérine Energies SA manages and supplies all energy services across the site.

The concept developed aligns perfectly with the MIC’s needs and values, supporting the site’s continued growth while promoting clean energy and environmental sustainability.

Gérine Energies SA provides members of the Marly Innovation Center with water, electricity, and heating, as well as the distribution of industrial utilities such as demineralized water, nitrogen, and compressed air. The company also manages wastewater treatment and coordinates energy efficiency upgrades throughout the site.

Thanks to the operation of heat pumps and photovoltaic installations, more than 60% of the energy consumed on the MIC campus comes from renewable sources. Additional energy requirements are supplied through the Groupe E network.

We chose the MIC because we were looking for a location that offered a wide range of opportunities, both in terms of services and accessibility, as well as the possibility of expanding into additional space as our company grows.
